“Let's make love and listen to Death From Above”. It is indeed quite something when a current band gets a mention in someone else’s song title only shortly after releasing their first album. That’s what happened when Brazilian indie-popsters CSS sang about making love while listening to Death from Above on their debut single. Because, in 2005, the duo from Toronto got indie-rockers all over the world dancing with their, hopefully self-ironically titled, debut album, “You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine”; an album which relied solely on the power of bass and beats. After a joint tour with Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age, the group decided to call it a day in 2006. Now the guys with the phallic elephant’s trunks are set to make their live comeback with their cheesy mini-metal at the notorious Coachella festival before only a few days later heading over to the donaufestival – it’s time to go “heads up!”.
