“A new project is, of course, always different from
the ones before. The previous works on the theme of love had frame
stories, but became videos and, as such, only partly relevant for the
theatre due to the many places and outdoor recordings. Naturally, the
idea of the frame comes from painting, but, at the same time, it is also
nice in the theatre when a piece ends where it began. Nevertheless, HUB
also has the motto: forget everything that came before me. There is
existing text material, so far the method has been to throw everything
into a cocktail blender and see what kind of cocktail would come out.
The work process is best described through permanent change. There will
be influences from life and literature, but influences will also be
fended off. So just like in real life, there will be a permanent change
of new, picked up and abandoned ideas. Enlargements and reductions. The
story focuses on two people, to keep things simple. In between, there
will be dance interludes expressing the story as dance. It might well be
that the logic of the story will simply have its own logic that
develops from the story. Just like people, art and theatre pieces also
search for their place, and it’s always the right place. Inshallah.”
