Nadja

Nadja, a project of busy Canadian musician Aidan Baker, which was started in 2003 as a solo-act and has since 2005 been complemented by Baker’s wife Leah Buckareff in order to also be able to play live, makes droney doom metal. Their main instrument is Aidan’s guitar, which distorts itself through different genres, such as ambient, shoegaze and experimental music, while still retaining a hint of pop appeal – in any case, Aha’s “The sun always shines on TV” never sounded so brittle and expansive.
