On two long weekends the one-of-a-kind art festival will feature adventuresome aesthetics and oscillations between music, performance, visual arts, film, and discursive formats. A day pass grants you access to up to 20 events. The locations of the music and performance festival are the Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche, several halls on the exhibition grounds, the Kino im Kesselhaus, Forum Frohner and the Kunsthalle Krems.

donaufestival 2023 (april 28 – 30 & may 5 – 7)

Beyond human: The climate crisis is fuelling global political conflicts and heralding a looming end to a civilisation increasingly populated by artificial intelligence. What remains after all the radical changes? A number of artistic positions at donaufestival 2023 conjure a worldview that no longer treats humans as a privileged species.

We ask for your understanding that we cannot issue press tickets without an appropriate pre- or review. We issue a maximum of one press ticket and one half-priced ticket per festival day and medium.

Please be so kind and clarify this with your editorial staff and send us a copy of your report. We do not provide photo accreditations for external photographers.

COLLECTION OF PRESS TICKETS: Please collect your tickets until half an hour before the beginning of the event. Tickets that have not been collected will be given to visitors queuing at the box office.

The Line-up is online!

In The Year Of The Metal Ox means a state of emergency – and perseverance at once. New hopes, new fortunes. The title of donaufestival 2021 refers to the Chinese zodiac sign for the same year, which is still swaying under the spell of a pandemic. It knows no outside, but does not affect us all in the same way. Rather, it has escalated social breakpoints and provoked unimagined artistic approaches to corporeality and technology, intimacy and collectivity.
