The score by Laurel Halo frames this film essay about a world gone awry. Smartphones are burned as if one must dispel the cult objects of a superstition. An iceberg collapses; a drone camera films the ruins of Aleppo. Erratic costumes veil the faces of people making formations on an abandoned military airport in Croatia – perhaps as a sign of new forms of being together. “All tenderness is radical in a broken world,” says a young woman.
