FRKTL’s sounds buzz and grind, often at high frequencies that burrow their way into your brain; but the gently wobbling bass underneath has such power and depth that FRKTL’s music always succeeds in lulling the listener into a sense of security. Sarah Badr aka FRKTL is a British-Egyptian interdisciplinary artist and composer with an academic background in creative computing. As a musician, she develops multifaceted electroacoustic compositional art pieces, which to date have featured on several EPs, three full-length albums, and most recently an original film score. FRKTL’s skill at crafting melodies and manipulating vocals is particularly brilliant, as is her improvisation.
