SOUND

The deepest, most peculiar vibrations you can imagine are devised by US-American, Stockholm-based composer Kali Malone. She amalgamates analogue and electronic oscillations, woodwind instruments with Buchla 200 synthesizers, string quartets with sine waves, and creates the most astounding music with pipe organs, whose sound is spatialised with complex miking arrangements. At donaufestival she will present her new composition Does Spring Hide Its Joy, which she will perform together with cellist Lucy Railton and guitarist Stephen O’Malley from the notorious drone avant-gardist formation SunnO))).
