Improv drummer Lukas Koenig and modular synthesizer wizard Nik Hummer forge sharp splintery sounds and beats, which a host of guests rap over: such as Will Brooks of the hardcore breakbeat acolytes Dälek or Tehran-born composer Rojin Sharafi, whose moving lament and wrath vocals echo Iranian women’s struggle for freedom: “War is the Unveiling of the Truth.”
