ART & INSTALLATION
The Swarm sound installation consists of 250 small speakers scattered throughout the space, each one reproducing the sound of a flying bee. The acoustic starting point was the buzzing of a colony of bees foraging for food. The combined sound of the swarm was broken down into its components in a specially designed recording studio and subsequently spatialized in the installation. Human bodies moving through the space experience a complex, vibrating soundscape of animal bodies in motion.
