The film adaptation of the 2008 stage hit Jerk is inspired by the exploits of a serial killer and his accomplices and is based on the novella of the same name by author Dennis Cooper. Choreographer Gisèle Vienne, supported by the music of Peter Rehberg, examines the mechanisms of violence. In a long, disturbing, but also in parts comical horror sequence, the actor and ventriloquist Jonathan Capdevielle plays all the characters, surrounded by maltreated puppets.
