COVID-19 FAQ

What happens if the numbers of infections keep rising?

We will react to daily developments and adjust our security concept if need be.

Which rules regarding COVID-19 apply to guests at donaufestival?

Proof of recovery, proof of full vaccination or a valid negative PCR test are necessary to enter. Please have your verifications ready at the entry!

How does the COVID-check work?

When you get your wristband at the entry, the COVID-check will also take place. Please have proof of full vaccination, proof of recovery (of a COVID-infection occurred within the past 180 days) or a valid negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours since testing) and an ID ready. Everyone with a weekend pass will also be asked to show these certificates daily. There will be a QR code at entry for the electronic guest registration. Please note that you only may enter with a valid wristband!

Where can I do a PCR test?

No PCR testing will be offered directly at donaufestival. In Vienna or Upper Austria, please use the free tests available through the initiative Alles gurgelt!. In Lower Austria there are 23 spots (including Krems) with vending machines for testing. Also you can get an appointment to do a test at a pharmacy in Lower Austria.

Do I have to wear a mask?

While according to the current laws, you are not required to wear a mask, we do recommend it while being indoors for your own safety. When using the restrooms, wearing a FFP-2 mask is required!

What if I feel ill?

If symptoms like
– coughing
– fever
– shortness of breath
– sudden disturbance or loss of sense of taste
appear you must stay at home. In this case, the tickets will be refunded!

If any acute symptoms appear during the festival, leave the festival and immediately contact health authorities.

If health issues of any kind appear, you can always talk to our team members!

What other rules are in place?

Please stick to all the already established rules such as precautions when coughing or sneezing, hand hygiene, preventing bodily contact and – where possible – keeping a distance to other guests.
