Dälek sind MC Dälek (Will Brooks) und Co-Produzent Mike Manteca (Mike Mare). Die Pioniere des experimentellen Hip-Hop, die in den 90er Jahren in der Underground-Musikszene der East Coast groß geworden sind, haben sich über Jahrzehnte hinweg eine einzigartige Nische geschaffen, in der sie Hardcore- Hip-Hop, Noise und einen radikalen Ansatz in Sachen Sound miteinander verbinden. Von Anfang an traten Dälek in die Fußstapfen ihrer Vorgänger Public Enemy und ließen sich von so unterschiedlichen Einflüssen wie My Bloody Valentine und den deutschen Experimentalisten Faust inspirieren. Damit ist es Dälek gelungen, der Rap-Musik völlig neue texturale und strukturelle Dimensionen zu verleihen. Dälek kehren zum donaufestival zurück, um ihr neues Album Brilliance of a Falling Moon in voller Länge zu präsentieren.
