Performances 2025
Introducing: Here we present the performance programme of the donaufestival 2025. Audio intros invite you to immerse yourself in the worlds of the individual performances.
Göksu Kunak's installation and performance on the opening day at Kunsthalle Krems is dedicated to the mafia-like political entanglements in Turkey in 1996, which continue to have an impact today. God's Entertainment invite you to take a trip on a dubious Danube doppelganger on land. Ayla Pierrot Arendt questions the political situation in Georgia in a stirring video opera. The Brazilian Original Bomber Crew translates urban experiences of violence into a performative invasion – using fire and skateboards. Eman Hussein transforms construction work into a sweat-inducing choreography. El Conde de Torrefiel uses biographical fragments and flashbacks from a speculative future to associate the possible with the real. As part of a co-operation with Kunstraum Niederoesterreich, Deva Schubert combines bodily fluids, sounds and whispering protests in a sound installation and accompanying choreography. People Like Us chases 1001 images through our heads. In the centre of Krems' pedestrian zone, Regina José Galindo links the new militarism with the only appropriate direction of movement: going backwards.
Due to limited capacity, we recommend reserving tickets to secure access to certain performances. We want to avoid visitors having to queue for a long time and ultimately not getting a seat.
