KIRARA is a musician from South Korea who has been active since 2014, planning and releasing numerous albums, including five full-length studio albums. Her music, which combines delicate melodies to evoke emotions that are simultaneously melancholic and exhilarating, is deeply influenced by 1990s British dance music and 2000s Japanese electronic music. KIRARA regularly performs over 30 live sets each year, playing electronic music she composes herself using a computer and MIDI controllers. She has performed at various live clubs and dance venues both in Korea and overseas, and has appeared on major stages such as the Pentaport Rock Festival, DMZ Peace Train Music Festival, Ultra Korea & Taiwan, the Venice Biennale (Italy), SXSW (USA), and Primavera Pro (Spain). By 2025, KIRARA has been nominated eight times over six different years for the Korean Music Awards, winning once.
