Description
Home to artist and director Clyde Petersen, the Pacific Northwest around Seattle forms the backdrop of his tribute to the eccentric and notoriously taciturn band Earth. Not only did the band create a glacially sluggish subgenre of metal, drone doom, and play a pivotal role in the popularization of grunge. Visionary leader Dylan Carlson was also battling his heroin addiction and the tragic death of his roommate and best friend Kurt Cobain. The ethereal nature of the soundscape is perfectly matched by the film’s melancholic imagery, a road movie from another world.
