Snippets of beats and vocals buzz through the air, polyrhythms and bass figures extrude under, over, and on top of each other. Kuduro is a mixture of African rhythms and European dance music, which originated in Angola. Her latest album 95 MINDJERES is dedicated to the PAIGC brigadista freedom fighters who struggled against the colonial domination of West Africa in the 1960s.
