ZULI & Omar El Sadek

Occasionally, you try to dance to this music – it constantly invites you to do so. But then you get the impression that the beats are dissolving into acid and that the dancefloor is transforming into a gelatinous mass. Ahmed El Ghazoly alias ZULI cranks out the most radical club music of the hour. He began his career in his home city of Cairo and finds his inspiration both in traditional North African beats as well as current hyperactive sound mavericks like Lee Gamble. At donaufestival, he presents a nuanced multimedia show entitled λ, which he produced in collaboration with the Egyptian video artist Omar El Sadek.
