Rattling and rumbling, whips, grunts, and roars, raging drums and a distorted bass, a synthesiser emits white noise turning black over whimpering ghosts of freshly departed souls, while a being chained up in a deep dungeon growls and rattles against the bars and shackles: just some of the sounds of the doom metal formation EAERES. Its members Katrin Euller, Leon Leder, Karolina Preuschl, and Ursula Winterauer are well-known from the Viennese experimental electronic scene. In their new project, they strive for the ultimate catharsis, which they continually fail to achieve in the most artistically pleasing ways.
