Air
Description
Ulrike Königshofer’s multimedia practice explores human perception and how we construct our image of the world in everyday life. In her installation, a record player with a soundtrack of wind recordings activates various fans whose air currents are both physically tangible and audible in the space. The experience opens up new perspectives on the customary act of hearing, demonstrating that sound is not an objectively given phenomenon, rather something constituted in an ongoing process of perception and translation.
