Julian Warner
Decolonial violence as promise and disaster
Description
In his “rite of passage” The Soldier, German-British artist and curator Julian Warner asks in which situations resistance to violent conditions must or can take on warlike forms. When does the decolonial struggle embody the hope for a more equitable world, and in which contexts, in turn, does seemingly necessary militancy rebound as psychological deformation on those seeking liberation?
This discussion, led by a group analyst, will take place immediately after the performance on 3 May and is exclusively for the audience of that performance. Included in the numbered ticket for the performance.
