Quade

Deceleration and deliberation are the superpowers behind the four-piece ensemble from Bristol, whose signature sound is owed to their particularly alert perception. Quades' post-rock, presumably sharpened by Talk Talk singer Mark Hollis, who died in 2019, breathes vastness and softness, drawing its momentum from subtle shifts: sound lines edge gradually out of the twilight, drifting and reconciling to find each other again in compelling constellations. Everything is in constant flux, yet irresistibly coherent.
