Oneohtrix Point Never

Daniel Lopatin has already left his mark on the present on multiple fronts: as a producer for The Weeknd, Anohni, and Charli xcx, as a film composer (Marty Supreme) and, above all, as Oneohtrix Point Never, one of the most influential projects in the field of advanced electronic music today. In this role, he is something of an audio archaeologist, digging through cultural artefacts such as commercials, preset libraries, and sample CDs – vestiges for new acoustic monuments. For Lopatin, it’s not so much about nostalgia but exploring how (the belief in) memory manifests in the digital realm. He now brings his album Tranquilizer to the stage, accompanied by Freeka Tet’s singular live visual aesthetic.
